Will Nesbitt

Residence
Will Nesbitt was born in Fairfax Virginia and was raised in the Shenandoah Valley. He currently makes his home just outside Alexandria VA in Fairfax County at Belle Haven Estates.

Real Estate
Will has a real estate office in River Towers where he manages property assisting with both sales & rentals. Will is a real estate owner and landlord himself and understands the needs of the investor. In this capacity, Will focuses on two niches:

  • Investments — Will identifies and manages properties that make money while reducing taxes.
  • River Towers, Belle View & Surrounding Areas — Will is licensed in Virginia & Maryland for commercial and investment clients, but his residential activity is primarily focused south of Alexandria in neighborhoods near Fort Hunt Road.

Professional Background
Prior to working with real estate, Will designed, programmed and built numerous websites, most notably several sites for a dotcom start-up which was successfully sold to a publicly traded company just prior to the dotcom crash. His technology and leadership contributions were critical to the company. After the sale of the company, Will went on to start up his own technology company, which is now survived by American Affordable Mortgage LLC, now owned and operated by Julie Nesbitt.

Will obtained his technology skills through practical hands-on experience during his time as a creative leader on Battlestorm—a fantasy tabletop battlegame published by Ral Partha Publishing and written by Will Nesbitt. At that time Will also freelanced as a writer for several nationally published magazines: DRAGON, WHITE WOLF, DJ TIMES, et. al. At the same time, Will spent approximately 10 years as a small-market on-air personality and nightclub DJ.

Since the sale of the dotcom, Will's primary focus has been the acquisition, management and sale of real estate in the Washington Metro area, Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland.

Family Background
Will is most proud of his sons Stuart and Aubrey as well as his wife Julie. Will is the oldest of five sisters and a brother and the oldest of many many grandchildren.

His maternal grandfather John W. Stoneberger wrote Memories of a Lewis Mountain Man published by the Potomac Applachian Trail Club. This book chronicles some of the life and times of "mountain people" living in the Shenandoah National Forest before it was aThe shell of Avtex Fibers national forest. In 1953, his paternal grandfather Frank E.T.C. Nesbitt coached Front Royal to the Little League World Series. Both men spent more than 30 years working at what was at the time the third largest producer of rayon in the world. His favorite quotes from these men:

  • Always purpose good in your heart. — Gran'pa John Stoneberger.
  • You're a Nesbitt and that means you are and always will be Irish, Catholic and Democrat. — "Pepaw" Frank Nesbitt (I'm not really any of these things, but that's not the point..)

"It took me a long time to realize what these quotes meant to me personally. I’m quite sure these words have shaped my life because these words are never far from my conscious mind. Gran'pa believed that if you do good things good things will happen to you. For many years, I thought he was superstitious; perhaps he took the Bible (and “wrassling”) a bit too literally. It took a long time for me to mature enough to realize just how right he really was. Gran'pa was trying to explain the Secret to me. Fortunately I practiced those principals long before I understood or believed in them.

"As for Pepaw, I always chuckle when I think of that quote, because I have to put it into context. He told me I would 'always be Irish, Catholic and Democrat'. In fact, none of these labels really describe me entirely any more.  But I got the point.  The point was be yourself because you're good enough. Pepaw was a man who was well-known, well-liked and well-respected in our community. I like to think I have preserved the best qualities of both of these men." — Will Nesbitt
